We visited this area most recently in October 2007.

Where the river emerges from the hills and transitions into the flatlands of Mississippi valley the power point of the Missouri River can be found. There are a collection of High hills to the west of the Fort Randall Dam that seem to carry the energy of the circle.

We noticed here the change in vegetation between that of the more arid south west and the wetter northern climates of the Northern Midwestern states (and Provinces in Canada)
