The Circle at Lake Mead was
joyously opened by 5 individuals Saturday morning, May 8
@ 6 am. linking hands and sent the energies around the circle,
feeling this energy spiral up to the Stars. We offered prayers
and gave thanks to the Earth and the Waters. The 4 directions
were honored as were the animals and the elements. Drumming
began as the others completed the Medicine Wheel and gifts
were offered, including water, fire (candle), cornmeal,
and some special crystals, including a fluorite dolphin.
All participants came together again to offer tobacco and
to share our gratitude to Mother Earth and our intentions
for the Ceremony. We focused on the dolphin that was brought
and connected with our brothers and sisters of the Sea,
inviting them to assist us in helping to balance the Waters
of the Earth and the Oceans, to also help balance our Planet.
As songs were sung, dowsing of the area was begun.... (more
on this)... which displayed some amazing energetic patterns
and flows. Our group was joined by another, and the singing
and drumming continued. Despite temperatures of 105 degrees
Fahrenheit, the core group continued until 2:30 pm. Returning
before sunset, we were joined by a young family with 3 very
sweet children. More sharing, prayers, drumming and honoring
followed, with the final closing of the Medicine Wheel in
the star-filled night.
We, the Ambassadors of the Lake Mead Site, wish to honor
Bennie for sharing his vision so valiantly, to our fellow
guardians who touched us deeply, to all others who shared
their energies and love at many other sites world-wide,
and to our brothers and sisters of the sea who are waiting
for our continued love and co-creative efforts in Being
the Love and the Compassion that this world and humanity
so desperately are calling for.
