Stettler is a town in east Central Alberta that has a history of reports of strange lights in the sky and other similar paranormal events. It also is not far from a major grid point on the Becker-Hagen's Earth Grid so it came of little surprise when I read news about this crop circle in the Red Deer Advocate. Now one has to approach this whole topic with a dose of skepticism since there is a lot of information out there on how to build crop circles and stories on how they have been built. None-the-less, I am a firm believer that not all crop circles are fully explained and have been exposed as being hoaxes, and even if they were, they become expressions of art, not all that different than other art work done by humans on the land such as petroforms and petroglyphs. The information I provide here is meant to inform the public about this Crop Circle and allow them to draw their own conclusions as to its significance.

Crop Circle Measurements
This schematic is to scale and is oriented to the north. See the earth files for the measurements done by Mr. Tash a Stettler Science Teacher. These are the most accurate out there.
Crop Circle Stories submitted by correspondents:
"On Saturday night Aug 16 some friends were sitting outside at Pelican Point and a red light came from the south over the trees - it was moving north fast and stopped to hover over them - just hovered and then disappeared straight up in the sky. They all wondered what it was ...and then didn't talk about it anymore."
SIGNIFICANCE: The crop circle was discovered on August 25th - it is directly South of Pelican Point across Buffalo lake. About 8 miles north of Pelican Point is Earth Grid Point 8. As such this report would be consistent with a vehicle that would have made the crop circle flew north along the grid line, hovered above the grid point, then 'went out' at the grid point.
More reports are expected to be forthcomming.

Schematic (source Artwork byMary Grace Nelson) Description: Center Circle, with surrounding ring, bottom of surrounding ring is wider on bottom than top, right and left solid circles. Top ring is hollow. Top of schmatic is oriented in SW direction. The crop is laid down in both clock-wise and counter clock wise directions. Paths and Sprayer tracks have not been included as these were made by people after discovery of the circle.

Relationship to World Grid This shows how the site of the crop circle is right on a major earth grid line. The axis of the crop circle is actually aligned to the noted yellow line just to the south of SW. |
